RLH were appointed in September 2025 to prepare a planning application for 40 new build houses for social rent to the local community. Wales & West chose this site due to its ideal location within walking distance of local shops, a primary school, children’s play area, and other amenities. It is well connected, with a bus stop only 5 minutes’ walk away which provides transport to Chester, Flint, Rhyl and Holywell. The A55 is also only 5 minutes’ drive away, providing links by car.
The brief was to provide a mix of units that reflects the local housing need & all homes are to be designed and built using a fabric-first approach along with expected air tightness levels. Welsh Government requires an EPC A rating for all new homes.
The scheme is going to PAC in June 2026, with an expected start on site of Spring 2027.
