In July 2019 RLH were commissioned by Tai Tarian to provide blocks of accommodation to replace the existing dwellings. The existing blocks were very energy inefficient, damp and in urgent need of replacement. The brief was to provide light and modern structures, that would form an attractive centre piece to the existing close knit community. After various iterations the current layout and vernacular appearance were decided upon.
Planning permission was granted in June 2020 and local contractors were engaged to commence construction in October of the same year. The demolition and construction process went seamlessly and the flats were ready for occupation in February 2022. The client Housing Association and the tenants were delighted with the finished building and we are extremely satisfied with the look and functionality of the finished blocks of flats.
